Konosioni Lodge October Word Article

Brethren,

It was great to see over 20 of our Brothers attending our first meeting on Thursday, September 4th.  It was also equally  exciting to put this year in motion with our Brothers working together to plan the many events that we have scheduled for the 2014-15 Masonic year.

On Saturday, September 20th, We held our Annual Brotherhood Retreat at Brother John Kindon’s property.  We had approximately 35 Brothers in attendance for this overnight Retreat.  This has turned into an event that our Brethren at Konosioni No 950 not only look forward to, but travel from afar to be a part of.  It is a great time shared by our Lodge and has grown into another must attend event.

We hosted our 1st Blood Drive with the American Red Cross on Saturday, September 27th held at: The Miori Martial Arts Cicero location.  It was very well attended, and was an honor to have this event for our Community.  We were also very excited to have Brothers from Fayetteville, and other District Lodges who worked with us on this event.

On Thursday, October 10/2 our Annual Table-Lodge at Bella Domani on Taft Rd. in No. Syracuse.  This has always been a great event for Brothers across the District to get together for an evening of fun and Brotherhood.  This has also Historically been a bring a friend night and is revered as a perfect opportunity for any future Brothers to be able to meet Brothers from Konosioni No 950 plus many other Lodges, along with Dignitaries from our District.

Looking ahead - Our Official visit will be held on: Thursday November 20th welcoming RW:. Ed Sinay, R:.W:. Ralph Haney, and the Official Family.  We are now also collecting: Toys & donations for our Holiday toy drive.  Clothes for our hats, coats, and glove drive, donations for our Easter Basket drive, and any items for animals for the local SPCA.

I am very Thankful for a great line of Officers, Brethren, and the families involved in our Lodge events.  If strength is in unity, we are all looking forward to a busy, successful year.

If there is any Brother in distress or in need of assistance in any manner, please do not hesitate to contact me.
